SAS task Case Solution

Summary
This case aims to conduct the Statistical analysis, for Extreme Global, a US retail chain with businesses in several states. The data had been collected from the dataset of census.gov for the United States, which represented the total population with respect to sex, age and race. Furthermore, other necessary data was called form PROC content in SAS with respect to the customers, product, orders and campaigns.
However, it can be determined that the values calculated for the average household median income of customersfrom each state are illustrated in exhibit-1 below, which shows that the average income of Maryland was highest at $70,004 and the lowest average median household income was in Puerto Rico at $23,168. Furthermore, the average spending of the customers by the state are illustrated in exhibit-2 below in which, it was identified that the average spending in California was highest at $101,841 and was lowest in Wyoming at $1,935 per customer.
In addition to this, the correlation between average median household income and average spending of the customers by state was estimated at 0.065, which meant that the variables were not highly correlated with each other as the correlation was less than 0.80. Moreover, the standard error for the total population by race was 3,343,806 and its median was 19,175,798. where, the median shows the middle value of the data. The standard deviation is calculated and determines the uncertainty in the data values. However, the standard deviation was estimated at 12,056,264.76 which showed that data has high level of uncertainty. Additionally, the regression best line plot and average Spending residual plot are given below.
