Final report Case Solution

ABSTRACT:

The rubric is to prepare a report on the milestone activities whereas, in milestone one, the data set has been chosen from which the research question has been formulated. The researches question for the report is ‘do the underdeveloped countries have developed higher density of population in comparison with developed countries since the turn of the century'? The data set chosen comes from World Bank the reason for choosing that data set is the authenticity of the source for such kind of data, and the analysis would help to understand the different roles that countries plays on various economic grounds and the effect of density of population on their activities. The milestone two contributes to formulating the decision analysis model explanation of the performance and the data preparation and builds ground for milestone 3. Evaluation of the model made and revision of the model has been done in sign 3. This final report is the end product and the detailed analysis and explanation of all the milestones done and the results achieved i.e. the population of underdeveloped countries is more densely populated than the developed countries. This report provides the basis and in support of conclusions the stats and the figures and critical evaluation of the research question.

INTRODUCTION:

The final project is the end product of the activities performed before to reach the conclusion of the research paper. The topic chosen based on the density of population i.e. do the underdeveloped countries are more densely populated as compared to developed countries, and the data extraction was done from world bank record, to collect a broad range of suitable data world bank has been chosen. The comparison of the population difference and to evaluate the density of both the categories of counties i.e. developed and underdeveloped, statistical methods and techniques are used to provide more legitimate grounds for a conclusion.

The data collected for years from 1960 to 2015. The decision tree model is utilized for each set of a variable present in the data set. With more detailed analysis with the help of decision trees and revision of the decision trees according to the research objectives till the best approach is attained. The data set needs to be studied in detail to analyze the trend of growth in developed and underdeveloped countries to build concrete results. The research also has some limitations which have to be dealt with and mitigation of the limitations by detailed analysis is necessary in this regard. The series of milestones are designed to get the appropriate result, and in milestone one, the research question was formulated, and the dataset has been chosen to do further analysis. In milestone two, the basis of decision tree model has been established the calculations and techniques have been applied to extract the results on the decision tree basis.

In milestone three the required revision to the decision tree model has been made, and a correct approach has been established to reach the result, the sorting relating and calculation of the figures required for the interpretations were generated and evaluated. The results obtained which states that the underdeveloped countries are more densely populated than developed countries, detailed analysis has been done in this regard. This report has contained the relevant and required information related to all milestones to produce the end results.

DATA APPRAISAL:

The source used for the data set extraction is World Bank, The World Bank data is suitable for our analysis in growth determination. The data is authentic, and it is used for many other reasons such as determining poverty rates, inflation rates, life expectancy, literacy rate annual GDP growth and many other reasons.

The population stats for the developed and underdeveloped countries has been analyzed by using the data extracted from the record. The data used comprises of the years from 1960 to 2015. The purpose of data extraction is to analyze the growth trends of the countries. Sorting and filtering of data have been done to make it usable to fulfill the purpose of the research such as the data extracted shows the population division among several income groups and contained unnecessary details, the data has been curtailed and tailored to make the analysis and the interpretation easy. For that purpose, the set of data has been divided among two types of countries that are the developed countries and undeveloped countries. To make the process of evaluation prosperous some countries that are closed to advanced but are developing are taken into developed countries and the countries that are having underdeveloped traits are taken into underdeveloped countries for this particular set of data for achieving ease in our analysis................................
